The Low Down about High Deductibles

An insurance deductible is… the money that you pay, out-of-pocket, before the insurance company pays the rest!

Every type of insurance has this, but you get the choice to pick your own home and auto insurance deductibles...and most people do it wrong. 

Most people want a “low deductible”. They want $100 or even $250 deductible on their car insurance. Sometimes even $50. 

Here’s why I always recommend a HIGH deductible:


Answer: 

1. High Deductibles save money on your monthly premiums.

If you have a $1,000 collision deductible on your car and a $2,500 deductible on your car… you’ll be amazed at how much money it is saving you! 

2. High Deductibles help you see insurance for what it’s really for...

Catastrophe! Insurance is really meant to replace your car that is totaled in an accident… or rebuild your house when it burns down. This is the best way to use insurance… not to repair a scratch on your bumper or fix a small plumbing issue. 

3. High Deductibles will keep your renewal rates down! 

You’ll use your insurance less. You’ll be more cautious. You’ll be claims-free. 

This will keep your renewal rates low! 


Bottom Line… Ask for a HIGH deductible and save big!
