I grew up in Yakima, WA on 2 acres with a barn and swimming pool and animals!
We had lots of different animals over the years, from sheep, to cows, a pony, chickens and ducks.
But the animals that were really special...the animals we’d do anything for...were our 3 golden retriever dogs! These were the family pets that we loved and spent all day with and would do anything and pay anything to keep them healthy!
Pet’s are really a part of the family.

So what is your plan to provide for their health and protect your finances while doing it?

Does Your Family Pet Have Health Insurance?
We all want to protect the things that matter most to us - this includes our family pets.
Cats and dogs are not only our “best friends” but they provide an important relational and emotional outlet (especially during times of “stay at home orders”)
If you haven’t looked into Pet Insurance yet, here is your chance!
When someone is "a part of your family" the way that your pet is, it only makes sense that you'd want to plan ahead for their healthcare and financial expenses.
If you would do about anything to care for the health and life of your family pet, then pet insurance makes a lot of financial sense!
Pet health insurance covers a wide variety of medical expenses:
Accidents/injury
Illness
Hospitalization
Emergency vet visits
Surgery
Vaccinations
Annual physicals
Flea prevention
Dental trauma
Some alternative therapies
How it Works:
1. Purchase a policy and select an annual limit of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 and select a deductible of $100, $250, or $500.
2. Take your pet in for covered treatment.
3. Pay the vet bill.
4. Then submit a claim for reimbursement. Reimbursements can be deposited directly into a customer’s bank account or sent via check. Typically, it takes 14-16 business days to process a claim.
Other Information
Policies have a 12-month term, so once the deductible is met, they won’t have to satisfy it again until the next plan period.
After the annual deductible is met, the reimbursement amount will be 70%, 80% or 90% of the invoice, based on the reimbursement percentage selected when the policy was purchased.
A package covering preventive care (with no deductible) is available for an additional cost.
Coverage can be purchased for multiple pets; each will have their own separate policy and premium, and each additional pet qualifies the customer for a 10% discount.
This insurance is applicable for treatments at any veterinary clinic in the U.S. or Canada, including treatment from specialists and emergency facilities.
What does Pet Insurance cost?
Ask your insurance broker for an exact quote for the breed and age of your pet… but they can range from $35-50/month. Preventative Care is an additional option, often for $10/month.
Questions about Pet Coverage
Coverage for accidents and preventive care (if purchased) begins immediately on the plan’s effective date; illnesses and knee/ligament injuries have a 14-day waiting period.
Although premiums will increase as a covered pet gets older, a policy will never be canceled or downgraded due to a pet’s age or health.
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, and/or costs associated with breeding or pregnancy are not covered; waiting periods may apply, and products and discounts are subject to change.
